Hello All,
Dublin North Hockey Club invites you to "Goodbye to the Park" on: Saturday 6th April 2024
at: 3pm
venue: Civil Service Cricket Club Phoenix Park
Lorraine played hockey in Phoenix Park from the early 1960’s and continued until grass hockey was no longer allowed in the early 2000’s.
The Club in its various guises had many glory days at the Civil Service ground in the Park, not to mention the post-mortem chats, pints, and celebrations.
However, all things must change, and the current membership does not, unfortunately associate hockey or the Club with the old Pavilion. The future of the club and its members will at the National Sports Centre Abbottstown, where the only Olympic standard pitch in Ireland is used by the Club.
We would hope to welcome you all for one last time.
If you have contract details for any other player who ever played grass in the Park, please pass on this welcome.
Can I ask please that you confirm your attendance as we need to let the caters etc know numbers
If you fancy a little hockey bring your stick, we will be organising a 5 a-side
Looking forward to seeing you there
