On behalf of the Committee, I hope you are all well and safe and that we have a better 2022 than the last two seasons.
HOCKEY IRELAND MEMBERSHIP
Hockey Ireland (HI) in 2021 commenced a Membership Registration system which is obligatory for all who partake in Hockey at any level. The membership is to allow HI have a direct link with the hockey community and to assist in securing funding and sponsorship by knowing the demographics of the hockey community. The fee payable to HI includes a Personal Accident Insurance cover (details on the HI site).
The Club has for the past number of years provided a personal accident cover policy for members which will discontinue from 31st January 2022.
To ensure continuance of cover members must registrar and pay the appropriate fee on the HI site. Many members have registered but not paid the fee. To Register or check your current status the link is

VOLUNTEERS
The Club Junior sections continue to grow with now over 230 Juniors in our two centers NSC Abbottstown and ALSAA ranging in age from 7 to 17, many thanks to our coordinators June Ryan and Ruth Chillingworth.
This is a great for the future of the Club but puts great demands on the volunteers.
Can you help out.
We require Coaches, Assistants, Managers and Mentors. No previous experience of hockey required. The Club will organise coaching courses and provide basic training. If you are already “dropping-off “ why not come along and enjoy the sessions with the Juniors.

Unfortunately, Covid19 will be with us for the foreseeable and it is a requirement that a Covid Compliance Officer is in attendance for every Junior session. While we have a team of volunteers, we can always use additional help. Volunteers are matched with the session their child is attending.
